Worldbuilding Prompt:
What are some special trees in your world? Why are they special? Who reveres them the most?
#ttrpg

@Jackgiantkiller The Green Faith of Bresas-Imora holds ash, birch, oak, thorn, and yew especially sacred, as those were the venerated trees of the fey, contact with whom deeply shaped the cultures of early human civilizations.

@Jackgiantkiller I had a concept for a tree some time ago that grew "upside down" and obtained nutrients from animals instead of the ground, and absorbed water through broad green "roots." Not really sure how their energy systems worked, but creepy leafless trees that if you looked close enough were just roots and then they started eating you seemed like a good concept.

@Jackgiantkiller

Skytrees. 3 times bigger than redwoods. The bird-people (called Swifts but basically aarakocra) live in them in wookie-like treehouses. Mildly sacred to Noric, god of the sky (because, well, sky, duh)
