tl;dr: there was an interview that went live online with someone saying "the two characters were married" and then Bamco struck it off the internet and said "ACTUALLY we're not confirming anything it's all up to your ~interpretation~ :^)" and the fandom is dragging them hard
jubilee@AmyZenunim @Llammissar this reminds me a lot of Tomino's comments about how the boys weren't the real fans, the girls were long before any boys (something something Chamuro), yet this is clearly being done to play to the feelings of the boys.
