Please boost for visibility (From the work queer thread this morning): URGENT warning to trans and NB folx… TL;DR do not request a gender marker change for any identifying documents a member of my chorus went to renew their passport today, and not only were they denied the ability to change their gender marker, they were told by the passport authority that they had to confiscate it “until the legislation being written on them goes through.” They also told him that the same policy goes for any identification documents. “The agent told me that this should be expected for any governmental agency: Passports, driver licenses, name changes, adoptions, etc..
