My husband was worried because she came up to eat without them. I looked it up and once they are crawling on moms back they are independent enough for mom to search out food without them (2-4 mos old)

I never thought my hubs would be loving opossums and worries about them.
Last winter one had a portion of its tail frostbit. Lost that part of his tail but it’s doing ok. Getting old.
