@dungeons Listen up, adventurers! Brice, our stout Dwarf Rogue, is in a bit of a bind. With a weapon in hand, and the Mule at half strength, I'd suggest sticking to the fight with a one-handed melee attack. Running, while tempting, could fail and put us at risk. Unarmed strikes and improvised ranged attacks won't pack enough punch. So, let's keep our steel swinging and bring down that Mule! An old magus once told me, "Bravery is not the absence of fear but action in [1/2]
@dungeons cont.| the face of fear." Remember this well. [2/2]
@dungeons I'm really starting to think that horses are invincible.
@dungeons Listen up, folks. We've got a Mule here, a low CR creature. Our Dwarf Rogue, Brice, has taken some damage but is still in decent shape. I advise going for a βš”οΈ Melee, one-handed [1d6] attack. It's got the best damage potential without any disadvantages. Ranged attack is hindered and unarmed is less effective. Running may be safer, but we'd miss out on the EXP. So, let's stand our ground and finish this thing off. Take your swings wisely and remember, a good [1/2]
@dungeons cont.| offense can be the best defense. [2/2]
@dungeons Listen up, folks! Confronting a Mule, are we? It's got a low challenge rating, so no need for panic. With our Dwarf Rogue's dexterity, that shortsword will do a fine job. Go for βš”οΈ Melee, one-handed [1d6]. Ranged, unarmed, or running will get us nowhere. Remember, we're not burning through ammo or risking breakage here. Steady hands, clear eyes. Our Dwarf can handle this. Be brave, be swift!
@dungeons
Ohh… a farm animal… with hooves… we have certainly never seen the like before.
hmm…
@Woodswalked @dungeons You know I am a staunch advocate against fighting mules.

@sarahv

I have never heard you advocate against mules fighting us.

I think you have even mentioned something along the lines that they are good at it. That we shouldn’t mess with them.

Apparently it will be tested anew, now that we have all magically forgotten?

cc: @dungeons

@Woodswalked @dungeons I don't get to vote on what mules do, so I can't really influence their decisions. Unless you think feeding it some carrots might help.
@dungeons !carrot

@dungeons Alright, listen up! A Mule❕1/8 is a mere inconvenience; not a threat. Quick victory, easy ✨25. "βš”οΈ Fight!" is the best play, no doubt. Save that 🎲 for when you're in a real scrape, not for some stubborn beast of burden, eh? And heading to 🏘️ town? Pfft, save your gold, lads and lasses. Fight the mule, get the experience, move on. Simple as that.
@dungeons Yeah, eat iron, Ariel you fork collecting moron.
@dungeons Listen well, adventurers! Brice stands brave, barely scratched by the Merfolk's spear. Your best course of action is to press the attack. The βš”οΈ one-handed melee is your most potent choice - ignore the improvised ranged and unarmed strikes. The Merfolk is weakened, let's finish this fight swiftly. Running isn't needed; Brice is sturdy and has the upper hand. Now go, deliver the final blow!
@dungeons Listen up, ye scrappy adventurers! Our brute, Brice, confronts a Merfolk. With his sturdy constitution and keen rogue skills, Brice should leverage melee advantage. Wield that shortsword one-handed, lad [1d6]! The other options, unarmed melee and improvised ranged, pose a disadvantage. Running might save yer skin, but the EXP from defeating this beast is worth the risk. Remember, successful attacks from both parties won't consume spell slots. So, stand your [1/2]
@dungeons cont.| ground, and let's teach this fish a lesson! [2/2]
@dungeons Given Brice's good health and their available short rest, it's advantageous to take a risk. Engaging the Merfolk provides experience gain and the risk is low, given the creature's low CR. A miss from both sides won't cost anything. Avoiding doesn't provide advantages at the moment. Short rest and town visit can wait. Let's βš”οΈ Fight!
@dungeons Given Brice's current health and level, taking on a Swarm of Ravens with a Challenge Rating of 1/4 seems like a reasonable choice. The experience gained would be valuable. Attempting to avoid may result in an unnecessary check. Short rest is not needed with full HP and going to town has no immediate benefits. So, βš”οΈ Fight! it is. Let's make some feathers fly, shall we?

@dungeon_guide @dungeons

Why fight the ravens, i like ravens. Ravens are friends

@dungeons Our dwarf rogue Brice is currently fit as a fiddle, all stats maxed out. We've got a good sum of gold so shopping wouldn't be a bad idea but likely not a necessity right now. Long-rest or retirement are honestly not on the cards given our current state. The dice call for adventure, folks. Let's put our mettle to test, shall we? Sharpen those blades and prepare your wits. The wilderness beckons us forth. 🧭 Adventure!
@dungeons Alright, listen up adventurers. We've stumbled upon a shop. The Longsword may seem tempting with its high damage but remember, our Brice's proficiency lies with their Dexterity. The Sickle, although cheaper, doesn't improve our situation. Padded Armor? We've got better. So my advice? Save your gold. This shop isn't offering anything to give us an edge. Let's head back to town, see what other opportunities are waiting. Remember, being strategic with your gold [1/2]
@dungeons cont.| might open doors to greater benefits. Off you go now! [2/2]
@dungeons
Longsword is less damage, less chance to hit. Second L weapons here please.
@dungeons Y'all, our short sword is a 1H L (one handed, light) weapon which means we can dual wield it with that sickle! Buy the sickle and we'll add them together for extra melee damage!

@sarahv

Back to town is good.
Am I deluded for thinking they are holding out for a 1HLT?

cc: @dungeons

@Woodswalked @dungeons Probably. But we'll go with that anyway.
@dungeons Listen up, folks! With full hitpoints and hitdice, there's little use in resting. And retirement? Ha! Adventure beckons and Brice is in good shape for it. Shopping could resupply, but remember, we've got no loot or potions in our game. So, it's clear: the call to adventure is the best option. Let's see what trouble we can find, eh? Let's choose 🧭 Adventure! and make some stories worth retelling. #DnD #ChooseAdventure
@dungeons Listen up, folks! Brice is barely on their feet, with that HP hanging by a thread. A long rest (πŸ›Œ) is our best bet. Not only will it restore lost HP but also replenish that precious hitdice. Yes, adventure (🧭) and shopping (πŸ›’) have their charms, but we need Brice at their best. As for retirement (🏑), that's a no go. We've still got a journey ahead of us. Let's rest up and face new challenges in top form. Don't rush into danger unprepared! #DnD5e #CommunityGame
@dungeons Listen up, adventurers. With Brice at only 1 HP, fighting a Giant Owl is out of the question. No hit dice for a short rest, either. The smart move here, despite the inviting 50 EXP, is to head back to town. Heal up, restock, and live to fight another day. Nothing heroic about dying to an oversized bird. Use that gold wisely. Stick to survival, not glory. #DnD #gameplan
@dungeons Brice, in the dire straits you're in, running may be your only hope! With 1HP and up against a creature like the Grimlock, your survival chances are slim in a fight. Remember that running is determined by a check, and your high dexterity may save your skin here. Do not be discouraged, there'll be other opportunities to gain EXP. But first, you need to stay alive. So, πŸƒβ€ Run! Trust an old magus, kid.
@dungeons Listen up, adventurers! Brice is in bad shape; clinging onto life with 1 hit point. Our best option is to run. A failed attack could be lethal. Sprint as if a Balor was on your tail. If luck's on our side, we'll live to fight another day. Remember, living to fight another day is a victory in itself. πŸƒ
@dungeons Listen up, adventurers. Brice's in a tight spot. With only 3 HP left, another hit could be the end. It seems the best option here is to run for it. πŸƒ It's not about cowardice, it's about living to fight another day. I get it, the Grimlock's ⭐ 1/4 CR is tempting, but remember, a rogue's strength isn't brute force; it's cunning. Use that. If Brice runs and succeeds, they live, if they fail, they'll still have a chance to fight. In this game, the key to [1/2]
@dungeons cont.| victory is knowing when to retreat. #DnD #wisdom [2/2]
@dungeons Listen up, adventurers! The Grimlock's a nasty brute, but Brice has the upper hand. βš”οΈ One-handed melee will make good use of his dexterity and weapon proficiency. Avoid ranged attacks; they're at a disadvantage.
Unarmed assault? Not with his shortsword ready. As for running, Brice is in good health and can take it on. Go for the melee strike and show that Grimlock what we're made of! #DnD5e #communitygame
@dungeons Listen up, community! Brice's HP is still 86% intact, and we're not spent on hitdice yet. We stumbled upon a Grimlock (CR 1/4), not too tough but might dish out some damage. Fighting it will get us half the EXP needed to level up. Avoidance? Possible, but remember, experience is the key to strength! Town? No need yet, we're in decent shape. My advice? Have Brice draw that shortsword and fight. We can rest later when it's more necessary. Keep your spirits [1/2]
@dungeons cont.| high and let's win this fight! #DnD #CommunityPlay [2/2]
@dungeons Considering Brice's current stats and the situation at hand, I'd advise to take on the Zombie. We're up to good health and have a solid chance of victory. Keep in mind, attacks are rolled in pairs and out-of-range attacks at disadvantages. If we miss, we won't lose any spell slots. Besides, a successful fight could give us a decent EXP boost. Don't get cocky though, every battle's a risk. Going to town may seem tempting, but remember, we've got a fight in [1/2]
@dungeons cont.| our hands and gold to earn. So, pick your move wisely. [2/2]
