Iโ€™m sure Trump convinced Jack Smith that he is innocent, and all this will end with no indictment. ๐Ÿคก
@georgetakei

Agreed. Donald "I did nothing wrong" Trump always is the innocent.
@georgetakei heard Michael Cohen on MSNBC yesterday say that tfg would blame his lawyers. And today, there it is.
@georgetakei ITMFA -- Indict the Mother Fucker Again!
@georgetakei
"...was advised by many lawyers" doesn't necessarily mean "paid attention to any lawyers."

@geobeck @georgetakei Several of those lawyers are disbarred/going to be disbarred. Of course, he might use that as a defense: "My lawyers are shown to be incompetent, therefore, I am innocent."

(Which in some circumstances is a legitimate defense. This is.... not one of those circumstances. Among other things, when there's a paper trail of multiple attorneys telling you 'No', and you ignoring them in favor of the handful who were stupid, greedy, and/or corrupt enough to tell you 'Yes', you can't plead ignorance.)

@geobeck @georgetakei or that the lawyers told him anything he didnโ€™t want to hear.
@georgetakei Trump loves telling people not to believe anyone but him. It's just another sign of the increasing desperation that rules his world.
@slcw @georgetakei what Fukcing universe does this arse-wipe think he lives in...FFS
@georgetakei Gee, Donnie, maybe the reason, "no indication of notice was given," was so that you wouldn't go whining about it on Truthiness Social, and inciting a bunch of doMAGAstic terrorists to show up and cause trouble.

@georgetakei
This is hysterical...I smell fear!

Just runnin' scared each place we go
So afraid that he might show.....

Credit to Roy Orbison (and Special Counsel Jack Smith)

@georgetakei well there we have it folks. Trump said he's innocent and I don't see any reason why he would lie about that.
@georgetakei He just sounds like a small child, explaining that his parents assured him that there really is a tooth fairy, so it has to be true.
@georgetakei
A "productive meeting" for Trump attorneys means they weren't notified of being targets as well.

@georgetakei

I think the DOJ is exercising its sense of wicked humor, and will deny Trump the ability, this time, to be the first to announce the indictment. And then they'll sit back and watch the fireworks.

One way to disarm a bomb is to blow it up!

@georgetakei don't tell Donald, but I bet he'd get better legal advice from one good lawyer if he was willing to pay them.
@georgetakei everything is superswell hunkidory - the swellest and doriest you've ever seen! ๐Ÿคก
@georgetakei
Thatโ€™s only what the orange defendantโ€™s lawyers told him.
That is absolutely NOT what they said to Jack Smith ๐Ÿคฃ
@georgetakei
Yeah, you can tell just by looking at him that Jack Smith is an easy-going, laid back, charitable guy.
@georgetakei Bella the cat has a better chance to convince MAGA GOP to make her ruler of the universe. Although I would support it. Bella would do a better job.
@georgetakei

I'd love for the DOJ to decided he's a flight risk and handcuff him tightly and toss his fat ass in a cell!
@georgetakei "I did nothing wrong by telling all this people to do something that is clearly wrong"
@georgetakei I'm sure every attorney would say they've had a productive meeting if were on the clock for it.
@georgetakei After all, he's a deal artist. He's dealt a lot of arts.
@georgetakei "by many great and wonderful lawyers, who I've since discovered are awful and dumb".
@georgetakei as Teri says - why would his lawyers need to convince the DOJ if they were not going to indict! https://law-and-politics.online/@Teri_Kanefield/110787297405011077
Teri Kanefield (@[email protected])

https://law-and-politics.online/@[email protected]/110787251760777668 Trump denies the reporting that he is expecting an indictment soon or maybe even today. His public statements are almost always to control the narrative, and the narrative now is "my lawyers explained to the DOJ why indicting me will tear the country apart." But if they were not expecting an indictment, why would his lawyers tell this to the DOJ?

Mastodon
@georgetakei I wonder how many of those lawyers have been disbarred โ€‹โ€‹
@georgetakei Yeah, sure. I admire your ability to stick to your lies even when only a minority of people pay attention anymore. Maybe I would have lived a richer life if I weren't 'so painfully honest. Never was any good at lying.
@georgetakei if he gets reelected after attempting a violent coup I'll give up all hope on this country ever getting better.
@georgetakei "The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command." George Orwell 1984
@georgetakei Whew - glad that's all cleared up.

@georgetakei This country will be destroyed if TFG does not go to jail.

Let him do his rallies in jail with his choir singing their favorite song, YMCA.

@georgetakei If the Rule of Law in this country and Democracy is to survive, then indictments have to be brought forward against 45 and others. If 45 thinks that is going to destroy this country, heโ€™s only throwing more BS at the wall!!!I Letโ€™s call that statement what it is BS!!! #lockhimup
@georgetakei George, understanding reality is not his strength
@georgetakei What are the odds this means new indictments will drop tomorrow?

@georgetakei

"Prosecutors had tears in their eyes. They said 'Sir, we are SO sorry for the misunderstanding.' They were crying..."

@georgetakei "It was my lawyers' fault. I innocently followed the advice that I demanded they give me."
@georgetakei
He is like Jesus, but more powerful
@georgetakei Ah, glad to hear it from such warm and reliable source. Case closed! #LockHimUp
@georgetakei #Trump, your lawyers may have explained you did nothing wrong, but that does not mean you're free from charges. "Any indictment would further destroy our country", oh so you're admitting you began destroying it during your four years in office?
@georgetakei we Rey try re were rrrrtrerrr were e tree trees a rrrrt erretre tree y se to triumphs
@georgetakei very revealing how he describes an indictment on him as an attack on the country, as if he and country were synonymous. Even as president, he was merely the instrument of the country, and as a private individual he is no more than a pawn.
@georgetakei how he is not in jail and muzzled is beyond me he is a dangerous man to the brain dead
