Oh jeez this just gets worse and worse:

> Additionally, McGee’s account is part of Twitter’s ad share revenue scheme, meaning he receives a cut of the ads shown next to his tweets.

(There's also qanon, because of course.)

Elon Musk Welcomes Child Sex Abuse Imagery Poster Back to Twitter

Twitter says it has “a zero-tolerance child sexual exploitation policy.” Musk apparently doesn’t.

@syklemil That mid-article embed really does it for me. According to the blue-check army, everyone are pedos, except people sharing literal child abuse material. Amazing. @stopthatgirl7 @cstross
@syklemil @cstross That site really is going to end up more toxic than 4chan, only with a veneer of respectability.
@stopthatgirl7 Thanks for this. Need to have a serious conversation at work on Monday!
@stopthatgirl7 /r/law has a mighty ban hammer and isn't afraid to use it.

Boosting the above for my followers @stopthatgirl7
@stopthatgirl7 the guy is truly on one of the most public broadcasts of self-immolation imaginable.
@stopthatgirl7 This - and so many other reports like it - is disturbing to me, because although I've long-since deleted my personal Twitter account, I still have to access Twitter for work purposes. I've repeatedly had the "do you want our company to be associated with *all this*" conversation with my boss, and the answer is always "yes, we need the reach". I don't know how to answer that.
@rebecca_meadows Until there’s a strong Twitter replacement, Nowhere has the reach that it does, even though it’s gone to hell in a hand basket. The only thing you can do is try to convince them to diversify with Mastodon and Bluesky.
