@CStamp @mekkaokereke Have you read “The Ministry for the Future” by Kim Stanley Robinson? It’s an interesting story of how things could unfold, including the fate of the super-rich, in light of ongoing climate catastrophes.

I’m afraid he’s a little too optimistic about our chances, but it’s a good book that explores a variety of solutions to the problem of climate change.

The super-rich don’t fare well, and I don’t want to espouse violence… But on the other hand, I wonder what harm that concentration of wealth is doing indirectly to less fortunate people.

@CStamp @mekkaokereke The Hollywood exec that said they should just wait until people start losing their homes would do well to read that book. Grassroots outrage finally boils over at attitudes like that, and people are killed. Ron Perlman’s (now deleted) Instagram rant gives a taste of that. Again, I’m not personally advocating for violence, but I won’t be surprised if it happens.
