It is not a dictatorship, yet, but as of today the (very fascist) executive branch no longer has any checks and balances on it, and so can do whatever they want without regards to legality.
As to apartheid, it is very much an apartheid state, by definition of having two sets of laws for two populations.

@georgetakei Parliamentary democracy means ( I think), that it's not just a matter of voting in a new Parliament with different boundaries. You also have to form a new majority coalition. At least it avoids the problem of gerrymandering and disparate small-state senatorial power.

Most of the public doesn't support this crap (and we're talking about people tolerant to the occupation the racism which plague us for decades) and the court still holds power. It's only their first step, and let's hope it will also be their last.

@georgetakei You would think that ISRAEL of all countries knows what can happen when Authoritarian power takes over a country. What if someone who was very powerful & anti-religious rose into power & made celebrating ALL RELIGIOUS holidays against the law. I know extreme, but giving the Parliament too much power can only lead to negative things.
