If you want to find your Twitter friends on Mastodon and the Fediverse, there's a tool that can help you do that:

FediFinder was created by @luca

@feditips @luca Oh wow it still works?! I was convinced all those things were shut down by now.

@objectinspace

Yeah, I thought so too, but apparently this still works!

@feditips @luca It's no use if no one created the account on fediverse. I wanted to follow a @ on twitter that they will never do.
@feditips Wow this works !!! Thank you !!!
@feditips @luca Exciting thanks! I thought everything useful was broken but I just had good luck with this!
@feditips @luca this was super useful to start my new #mastodonlife, thanks!
@feditips Hey @luca one thing I noticed was that the version info for instances are out of date / never refreshed it seems. Is that intended/expected or an issue? Any way to clear its cache and pull new version info?

@colinstu @feditips I try to update instances info about once a week, but it's not automated.

You can force a cache refresh for an instance by using the API to check a domain with the force parameter set to true. Example: https://fedifinder-lookup.glitch.me/api/check?domain=birdbutt.com&force=true

@feditips @luca
Also you want to keep running it again from time to time to find people who have arrived here since the last time you checked.
@feditips @luca I got a txt and not a csv, so I doesn't work.
@nessi6688 @feditips Does it have the correct content ("Account address,Show boosts
[email protected],true"...)? Then you can just change the file extension.
@luca @feditips Okay, I'll try again on my PC later. Thanks!
