@aram @mmasnick To be fair, comparing reading to training a language model is lazy if you know the consumption of the product is not the same as the incorporation of the product into a larger one. Most people who made creative works never gave permission to the data and ml engineers to re-use their works as data input. Most people who have their performance recorded never agreed to have it re-use outside the intended purposes.
