in the TV series "The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem" on Netflix, about a Sephardic family, there are some bits of #Ladino (Judeo-Spanish), but in the English subtitles they call it Yiddish...
again in season 2 episode 2, Ladino described as "Yiddish" in subtitles

@paweldembowski

Sephardi erasure seems fairly prevalent in US media.

@paweldembowski Love this series and watching Season 2 now. I just ignore when the subtitles claim the language is Yiddish, but they should fix that!
@paweldembowski yes, this is the series I was referring to in my earlier tweet. At some point the English subtitles were not available, I had to piece together conversations in Arabic and other languages I don’t master :-) Nevertheless, I will keep watching; I’m particularly fascinated by the Arabic, French, and Spanish combined with #Ladino

@Koritsi I also recommend The Club (Kulüp) on Netflix, it's a Turkish series about Sephardic Jews in 1950s Istanbul, also with some #Ladino use (with native speakers of Ladino in minor roles)
