Hi mastodon! With the collapse of twitter I've lost much of my reach for finding clients 😔

I'm a disabled artist & commissions are my primary source of income, and I just contacted the last people on my queue today—which means after I finish their commissions I won't have any further income

@Crab22 I'm not seeing any of this activity, personally. Prior to the acquisition I had a steady stream of clients for two years (by and large coming from twitter), and for the first time this month my queue ran out. Engagement on my tweets has dropped drastically, and so has my reach. Whoever is on twitter still is neither my audience nor the audience of the artists I know and have spoken to. It's no longer the same website and no longer works for me.

@harrie that’s a shame for you. But you have to go where you need to, don’t you. If other places work for you. I fortunately don’t need a social account for a living. It’s purely for entertainment
