There are more churches than homeless people.
@robertelectricity yeah, it's actually just like "The Platform" movie where a giant table of food slowly descends down a silo of levels. The further it goes the less there is. At the bottom there is nothing but empty plates and despair. Just like in real life there is no such thing as trickle down in The Platform - those at the top cannot help themselves and feel entitled to everything they can grab.
If you've never seen "The Platform" I recommend it but it is very disturbing and graphic.
@bezorp @robertelectricity I had the same feelings, I'm not a big fan of gore movies like "Saw" or "Human Centipad". But honestly I was thinking so much about the exposition of humanity's behavior when desperate that it didn't have much time to dwell on the gore.
And it was a truly cutting critique of human society. Except in reality the elite rich are seldom cycled through the levels to see the other side.
My bet is if you watch the first 20 minutes you'll watch it all.
