Quick Aseprite tip that I'm not sure if I shared before, but pressing CTRL+B on a selection will quickly create a brush of that selection. Great for quickly making patterns. ESC will return your brush back to normal.
Also works with more complicated shapes or multiple colours! (And even with the bucket tool)
@saint11 Did not know this, thanks for sharing! I'm new to Aseprite (lots of pixel art on iPad with various apps) and the hardest part is absolutely the user interface. It buries so much powerful functionality!
@saint11 Like I quickly learned Shift-H and Shift-V to flip horizontal/vertical, and to rotate 90/180 degrees…there's a submenu item with no obvious keyboard shortcut? 🥴
@samf You can create your own, but it doesn't come with any shortcuts for that by default
@saint11 :O this is so useful, thanks for sharing
@saint11 🤯 This will come in handy. Thanks for sharing!
@saint11 I knew about the brush tip, but I didn't know ESC switched back to normal. Thanks for the heads-up on that.
@saint11 cmd+b on the Mac, but it works. Nice time saver.
@saint11 Oh wow, thanks for the tip!
@saint11 I think you just changed my life.
@saint11
aint no way, i might have to switch to Aseprite 😅
@saint11 I did not know this, thanks for the tip!
@saint11 awesome tip! I'm going to use it a lot, omg
@saint11 I've been using Aspprite for YEARS and I had NO IDEA that this was possible, god the amount of time this could have saved me 🥲
@saint11 thanks for the tip! Also your tutorials on medium helped me a lot getting started with pixel art! :)
