This week I added an extra column to the map and adjusted zone weights for map generation.

I'm also tinkering with how your deck works. This game is inspired by DBZ: Legendary Super Warriors' combat system, so the deck here worked the like that where you'd start out with a deck of 20 cards and then you'd have a pool of cards that you'd build up during your run to swap in and out of your deck (deck-construction).

I'm not 100% sure I'll go with it either, but it seems to make the most sense to me at the moment. At the very least I thought it'd be worth trying out :)

Master combos, unleash powerful attacks, and survive dangerous encounters to win the Star Spark Tournament! Plan your moves and outwit your opponents in this roguelite, turn-based fighting game.

I wasn't entirely sure about doing it this way since this is a run-based game, so I thought I'd give deck-building a try.

Deck-building is what most players are going to be used to in a run-based game. You choose what cards to add to your deck and it just grows versus having to edit it in a menu when you get a new card. It's also got the benefit of letting players actually play the game without having to fully understand it.

Hi folks! I'm trying to find example resumes/CVs for gamedev roles. I'm specially interested in how to highlight the games you've worked on

I come from software and my resumes have always been mostly text. So I have no idea about how to add screenshots and how to make those appealing for the reader 😅

Mostly interested in examples, but tips are also welcomed!

🔁 Boost for reach is appreciated ❤️

I had to get this idea out of my head. #TheyLive #LLM

#StarSpark progress this week:

- got the new enemy sprites in game with their own decks
- players can now see what zone type the zone selector is currently on
- the zone selector can traverse the entire map instead of just the next zones the player can reach
