True there is an audience. What they're willing to pay for content is the real question. Journalists need to pay for coffee...

@Daojoan I think a lot of that kind of content will come (already is coming) from #nonprofit #newsrooms and organizations, such as the Economic Hardship Reporting Project, The Trace, the Marshall Project and others. One encouraging sign this week was the purchase of the Portland Press Herald, Maine's largest paper, but the Nonprofit Trust for Local News. And if there's a part of the #news biosphere that is most vital to everyday life, it's #LocalNews.
