So, Mike Pence says he would ban abortion even when the pregnancy isn’t viable — in other words, he’d force women to carry a doomed pregnancy to term just so they could go through the trauma of delivering a dead fetus.
This is sheer, unspeakable cruelty. #reproductiverights #womensrights #health #politics

Pence would ban abortions when pregnancies aren't viable. His GOP rivals won't say if they agree

Former Vice President Mike Pence is leaning in on his anti-abortion stance as he campaigns for the Republican presidential nomination. Pence says he does not support exceptions in the case of nonviable pregnancies, when doctors have determined there's no chance a baby will survive outside the womb. Pence has previously voiced support for a national abortion ban after six weeks of pregnancy — before many women know they’re pregnant. The former vice president says he'll “always err on the side of life.” The Supreme Court ended the constitutional right to an abortion a year ago last month, ushering in a wave of bans and restrictions.

Some examples of what Mike Pence supports:

“To have a woman go through so much torture along the way — that's going to stay with them forever," Beaton told ABC News, referring to women who are forced to carry non-viable fetuses to term.

'Torture': Texas abortion law means woman has to continue pregnancy despite fatal anomaly

Kylie Beaton's doctors agreed mom was at risk but said their hands were tied legally.

ABC7 New York
“When the baby dies inside, the baby starts to release parts of its tissue that can get into the mother’s blood supply. It can cause organ failure. It can cause death,” Schapiro said.

Woman says Texas abortion law prevented her from getting timely miscarriage care

A woman in Texas said after finding out she had a miscarriage, her doctor refused to perform the necessary medical procedure, which means she carried her dead fetus for two weeks.

NBC 29

“When [the baby] came out you could hear him gasping for air. He was really trying to breathe. ... He didn’t cry when he was born and he didn’t open his eyes at all. But I mean, he struggled.”

…. and that’s what Mike Pence supports.

After being denied an abortion, a Florida mother watched her baby die

Milo Evan Dorbert, whose mother’s pregnancy tested the interpretation of Florida’s new abortion law, was born with a fatal abnormality. He lived 99 minutes.

The Washington Post

Even if Pence reads (they read) this article and the devastating consequences and ordeal of mother and baby, he (they) will continue to support this ban.

They won't care until it happens to their own children and they see the ridiculousness of forcing women to carry a medically doomed pregnancy.

No empathy and no respect for that their own God has already determined that the fetus should not live.
