Pretty much this. Its why I won't use Threads either. At the end of the day its a different app owned and managed by the same crappy company that is going to use the same crappy practices.

@KellicTiger @garretble @arstechnica also threads being an extension of instagram means they're probably gonna do the whole "hey we told your mom and your abusive ex about all your accounts. btw." thing eventually, and you can't delete the fucking accounts
