> The macOS version of Bear 2.0 is a separate subscription with the same pricing as the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch versions.

Is this definitely correct? It’s 2x £30 subscriptions now one for iOS one for macOS vs one subscription for *all* platforms like it was before?

Not sure that’s right… if it is… then that’s quite the price hike.

@daveycraney @macstories I paid a yearly fee of about 15 pounds and I got all versions in with that. Definitely not extra*.

edit*. I'm now doubting myself. I may have paid a one off fee for the Mac.

@daveycraney @macstories I have also read that people who have a subscription, you will continue to pay the amount you currently pay. The increase is for new subscribers I think.

@sinky @macstories

Yep, that’s what I read. Existing subs stay the same price, and on my current sub I still get all versions. The bear site says bear pro is for all platforms as well. Even for new subscribers.

This just seems like a reporting mistake that needs to be corrected.

@daveycraney @macstories I just edited my reply as I started doubting I got it for one fee. I didn't know if I had paid a one off fee for the Mac version. I’m getting old and my memory sometimes plays up 😁

@daveycraney @macstories
Pretty sure it’s incorrect. Their support site says a single sub covers all devices logged into the same Apple account. Believe you buy it on one device and can restore purchases on the others, including across iOS and MacOS.

@Courtenay @macstories

It looks like Macstories has updated the text now. They’ve taken that part out.

@daveycraney @macstories ahh great and thanks for the heads up. I loaded the article earlier on but hadn’t read it at the time, so had the older revision up :)
@Courtenay @daveycraney The post has been updated. Bear’s App Store setup is a little convoluted for legacy reasons - the Mac app is separate - which makes it look like a separate subscription, but it isn’t.
@johnvoorhees @daveycraney cheers. Yeah it’s a bit hard to follow. I had to double check myself :)
