How bad is Twitter? Folks are following me elsewhere just to find stuff to still attack me for.

@TRyanGregory

This is how I see it.

@anti_disease I can't even understand what they're talking about now. The rage farming has created a wild narrative that is easily contradicted by facts. I haven't deleted any tweets. Even the ones they screen cap don't say what they say I said.
@TRyanGregory I certainly agree that you’ve been honest about who you are. I put it this way in a comment
@TRyanGregory Some more of what I think. The smearing of you is unfair, and less importantly, blatantly harmful.
@anti_disease One thing that is for sure harmful is that they are proving the minimizer caricature of COVID aware folks to be correct (at least in a few vocal examples), which makes it harder for all of us as lone maskers.
@anti_disease I appreciate you sticking up for me. I don't know that anything can reach them at this point. They're very angry and have chosen to direct it toward me.

@TRyanGregory

I think people see your followers count, and forget everything about how you’re mostly just a guy with a microscope, studying biological samples, or whatever sciencey stuff you might be up to. Your Twitter D-celebrity status is because you posted informative and entertaining stuff.

For fairness, SocialBlade rates your influence weight as B- across all Twitter accounts. And you said things as controversial as that getting sick is bad…

@anti_disease Yeah, I dunno. I did things the same way all along and still thought of mine as a fairly small account. I wasn't building a brand, there's zero monetizing involved, just time invested because I hoped it would be useful to some other people. Some seem to think they're doing you a favour by following and that you owe them as a result.

@TRyanGregory

I’ll say this also. I’m glad that you notice that I try to ‘stick up’ for you, as I think anyone who values your past efforts and sees that you are unfairly attacked should do so.
