Useful tweet from Mark Maslin:

'The Seven Stages of climate denial:

1. It's not real
2. It's not us
3. It's not that bad
4. We have time
5. It's too expensive to fix
6. Here's a fake solution
7. It's too late: you should have warned us earlier

Trolls use all of these stages to deny reality of #climatechange'

Just one remark: It doesn't help the development very much, to "lick our wounds".

@daveunderwood
We need to try to convince everyone that every kilogram of greenhouse gas we add to our atmosphere makes our existential crisis worse.
@daveunderwood This sort of applies to most everything a person denies... 👀

Canada's #Climate Wild Fire Catastrophe began in the Spring, grew to the LARGEST fire in history BEFORE the fire season.

It is now surging, with over 700 fires across 4 time zones, burning so far 14 Billion Trees.

More than half of the fires are out control, 434 fires.

A Klaxon warning bell - deadly climate global crises ARE HERE.

HERE NOW, not "coming in 2050" not seas rising by the end of the century, HERE.

We must build sun and wind like tanks and ships for war, NOW.

@daveunderwood awfully sounds like a 'karen' brah...

#7 sounds pretty true, tho.

Too many tipping points have been crossed.
3C is seen as inevitable now.
Water shortages, dying crops, increased pollution, melted icebergs, rising sea levels, more erratic and severe weather anomalies. . .

No sky fairies, AI or technical inventions will save us at this point.

I'd rather accept a grim reality than be buoyed by false hope, myself.
To each their own, tho.

@daveunderwood I guess this is the output of the humans’ insanity. The earth is burning and some people are blaming governments or others. Yea sure the governments are evil, they have been like this forever. DO SOMETHING! I think it would make a difference if every individuals just gets to used to a bit of inconvenience in their daily life..
@daveunderwood 4 is actually "we can't make a difference on our own".
