Ok Mastodonians with a musical bent, help me out!

My wife has a song in her head that she can only recall shouting out the days of the week — “it’s a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday…” type of thing.

She can usually hum a tune into a straw and I can figure it out, but this is a stumper.

It is NOT “Police on my Back”
It is NOT “Never on a Monday”
It is NOT “Friday on my mind”
It is NOT “Friday I’m in love”
It is NOT “Days of the Week” by Stone Temple Pilots

It is not anything else I have been able to find, probably better than two dozen songs we’ve checked.

Help? Ideas? She insists it’s going to piss me off when we figure it out because it’s “so easy”…. Says it’s mid-80s, Brit/synth pop styling

@pejacoby are you sure it's mid 80s brit style?
Both 7 Days by Craig David and Pretty Pimpin' by Kurt Vile sing the days of the week in their respective lyrics

An 80s classic is Cherelle's Saturday Love. Very 80s but not Brit style

@alskicav dude! Ya got it! Pretty Pimpin’ is the magic!

She has offered few other clues, obviously Brit pop was a #redHerring. Kurt is anything but.

Been working on this for a week, much appreciated!!!!

@pejacoby funny co-incidence as I'd been working on a list of songs that mention the days of the week for my pop quiz

@alskicav there are a LOT of them if you just want one day per song.

All seven, less so 😀
