Hey Nerds and Geeks of the Fediverse:

I'm bailing on Evernote. I have an Obsidian license, but it's got a bit of a learning curve.

Where do you store your notes/clipped recipes/random shit/brain? Leave comments if you have other things, or particular reasons?

There's so many possibilities. Probably depends on if you want to keep your notes in the cloud vs. offline for privacy.

I keep my stuff offline. For that, I use org-mode for most things, but it also has quite a learning curve.

I also use ZimWiki [1] and CherryTree [2] for some things. They have much easier learning curves but of course have their own +'s and -'s. All these are FLOSS.

Zim - a desktop wiki

Zim is a notepad like desktop application that is inspired by the way people use wikis.
