Today is the very last of my weekly “Wealth and Poverty” classes — not just the last class of this course, but my last class teaching any course now that I'm retired.

Even if you haven’t had a chance to keep up with all the others, please join this one. https://bit.ly/3D4HMWY

My last “Wealth and Poverty” class! Forever! :(

Today is the very last of my weekly “Wealth and Poverty” classes — not just the last class of this course, but my last class teaching any course. I’m going to be retiring from teaching now. So this last class is quite special to me, and I hope it will be special to you. Even if you haven’t had a chance to keep up with all the others, please join this one.

@rbreich Congratulations on your retirement!
@rbreich Enjoy your free time!

@rbreich Thank you for sharinf your knowledge and expertise with all of us! My understanding of economics and the history of wealth inequality in the US has grown so much because of the educational content you have created. I am truly grateful to you.

Do you plan to continue creating short form educational content like some of the YouTube videos you have done in the past?

@rbreich Thank you for ALL the work you do!
@rbreich Hope your retirement does not include disappearing. A few weeks every now and then to watch birds is good, though.
@pamsails @rbreich I second this notion & thank you!
@rbreich if you want to go fishing, or to have some New Haven pizza, let me know. It's on me. Thank you for all you have given to me, all that you have taught me and shared with me. I wish you Mazel.

@rbreich I hope whoever monitors this feed will pass along my gratitude to Dr. Reich and his team for making these classes available online and especially in the #Fediverse thank you!

@rbreich I took your class at Brandeis University back in around 2001 and it was formative. Congrats on your retirement, and may you enjoy it!
@rbreich well deserved rest be your future.
@rbreich I am happy to hear you've successfully achieved retirement. I think it is well deserved. I got there last year and can tell you life gets calmer, simpler, and easier. Thank you for all you've done for us.

@rbreich

Unfortunately I can’t attend. My poverty doesn’t cover an internet service that allows me enough bandwidth to see any long or short YouTube videos.

@NoctisEqui @rbreich

This resource might help. The American Connectivity Program provides financial support to those who qualify and will discount your internet bill by $30 each month. If you meet the eligibility criteria this may allow you to upgrade your data speed to allow you to watch videos online. Hope this helps!

@rbreich

That sounds delightful. I love dogs & Scotland and it’s always fun to be inspired by skills like crocheting.

@rbreich Enjoy your retirement, I have had 20 years so far and hope for many more. It has not stopped me from forming well researched opinions and arguing forcefully where appropriate😃

@rbreich

Enjoy! Best wishes too.

@rbreich
Wishing you a long and happy retirement, no more prepping, yippee!
Although I rather think that you could prep in your sleep eh!
@rbreich Wait...what? Sir, where are you going? You cant quit now!?! I have sat at your feet since early 2017. Watched all of your lectures faithfully! We need you!! Youre the voice of reason!
Have you at least a replacement in mind!?
