So guys, I have a bunch of photos on my iPhone. Most of them are safe to have somebody else look at them and tell me what they are, but I'd rather not have to rely on somebody else to do that for me. Is there an AI thing that can like... describe the photos I give to it? Voiceover's image description is showing itself to be crap at this.
Okay. So Seeing AI's descriptions are rather lackluster, but at least I was able to go through my photos and figure out what were duplicates and accidental snaps of arbitrary whatevers. Thanks for the tip, guys.
@silveraura7 I would like to know taht too
@silveraura7 Have you tried seeing AI? I think it has a photo thing?
@faylen Oh I haven't yet. I'll try that ASAP.
@silveraura7 seeing AI does some of it but ... meh ... there's not a good one unless you have access to the virtual volunteer from be my eyes, from what we've heard anyway. we've tried to find image description AI too so if anyone knows of one this would be great to know about.
@cadence022 @silveraura7 I have been waiting for months for be my eyes.
@ElementalEcho @silveraura7 apparently others have access to that virtual volunteer thing, but we don't yet. one would think, if the beta was accessible to some, it would be accessible to all. tupid nonsense.
@silveraura7 Seeing AI, if you download it, can be accessed through the share sheet in the Photos app.
@JesseF8693 Cool, thanks for the tip. I've had a couple of others mention this as well, so I'll be having a look ASAP.
@silveraura7 If you have access to ChatGPT through Bing, you might be able to upload photos there as well through the app, but I don't know for sure.
@JesseF8693 @silveraura7 Not everyone can access that feature yet.
@JesseF8693 @silveraura7 You don't even need to do it that way. Just open Seeing AI, hit the menu option and choose the photos option right there. You can then three-finger page swipe through them as you wish. No need to share and find SeeingAI and share and find SeeingAI etc etc.
@silveraura7 Yes there is an app called From Your Eyes.
