There’s that word again. Fun. It’s more “fun” than Mastodon. Says who? Not me that’s for damn well sure. I’m having a ball here and so’s everyone I follow for the most part. I humbly suggest if Mastodon doesn’t feel “fun” to you, you are doing it wrong.

@gedeonm A major problem with Threads is it's already full of popular people with their own large followings. Just like Twitter. Regular people like me will never be seen. Just like Twitter.

Here I feel like I have a chance to make connections.

@Sonofasailor @gedeonm They’re gearing up for it to be a platform for “influencers” to distribute their stuff, not a community.
@Sonofasailor @gedeonm me too. I want quality. Not repeated memes and alt-right edgelords who want to “debate”
@Sonofasailor @gedeonm literally my number 1 complaint. I toiled for 2 years on Twitter for this account to get 11 followers. On Mastodon, I've found a whole group of people who are passionate about the same things I am, which has helped our reach to grow.
@Sonofasailor but my problem here is almost the opposite. None of my friends (who aren’t real tech people) from real life or twitter are here. So I’ve been on Mastodon for months posting all kinds of stuff to zero followers.
@Sonofasailor @gedeonm Also here are no algos to push his posts over yours!
