#Hammersmith & #Fulham Council #LBHF will proceed with a Public Space Protection Order #PSPO to ban #eBikes and #eScooters from the Thames riverside paths on 5 July 2023, unless residents get councillors to "call in" the proposed decision.

Public consultation in Jan/Feb'23 has been treated as a referendum with "votes" on options.

2/ #LBHF #PSPO banning #eBikes and #eScooters from the Thames riverside gives exemptions to people with statutory disabilities, and parents taking kids to school.

This penalises the not-disabled using micro mobility for some e-enabled travel. And parents will have to find a different route home after dropping the kids at school.

(This policy is not very well thought through).

3/ #LBHF treated the Jan/Feb'23 consultation on the proposed #PSPO as a referendum, with submissions being treated as "votes" on the options.

The claim that 70% of 1233 responses have experienced issues with ebikes and escooters along the Thames riverside fails any sniff test - it is confected nonsense.

If residents in Hammersmith & Fulham want to challenge #LBHF council introducing the #PSPO then they need to get councillors to demand a "call-in" before 4July.

4/ Doesn't look as tho any LBHF councillors challenged the draft decision to ban ebikes and escooters from the Thames riverside paths, so the decision proceeds.

@lastnotlost This is a bad decision. Why haven't they consulted transport experts for information they lack?
