Elon Musk may or may not be deliberately tanking Twitter, but if you believe he could run it well and has simply chosen not to, you're as big a simp as the rightwing bluechecks.

He's not a genius. This is him working at the limits of his capabilities. This is who he is.

@maxleibman it's revenge for unionizing
@maxleibman sometimes I'm tempted to think there's some sort of plan behind this but then I remind myself that he comes from astonishing privilege and maybe he's got where he is just by being incredibly rich, his parents money pushing him up like a wave, with no contribution on his part.
We need to let go of the idea that billionaires have earned their money in any way
@maxleibman A man without even basic social abilities (and zero empathy towards others) buying a social media platform is a recipe for disaster.. I knew that, but even so I am actually surprised about how bad he is running it šŸ˜‚ Can't wait to see what comes next.
@maxleibman Hanlon's razor applies _perfectly_ in this case, IMO.
@maxleibman Musk likes to cosplay as Tony Stark, but he’s not even at movie-Justin Hammer’s level…
@twasink Musk thinks he's Tony Stark, but he's actually Obadiah Stane with hair plugs.
@maxleibman I'd argue he's working well beyond his limits, hence the repeated catastrophic failures
@maxleibman Tesla and SpaceX reportedly have management structures in place to "handle" him, to buffer those companies against his impulses and terrible decisions. Twitter right now is all him, no buffer. It's exposed him for what he really is.
@maxleibman I'm undecided whether it's Musk himself who's deliberately tanking Twitter, or if his creditors decided to fund his takeover because they were confident he'd tank it. Starting to lean towards the latter though.
@brecht The idea that there are backers in the deal who want to see Twitter destroyed I am 100% on board with. I’m just tired of seeing people who clearly aren’t on his side still giving him credit for things he hasn’t done (and by all evidence can’t do).
@maxleibman Yeah that is pretty weird. I guess it starts from the politicians at the top who don't want to admit they gave billions in subsidies to a charlatan, and trickles down from there to his weird online fandom.
