@jokey2k @flup None of those are rate limits on reading or viewing posts. Allowing people to post 300 statuses every 3 hours by default is pretty generous. That's more than 1 post per minute. There are no rate limits on viewing posts and replies.

Hmm, this statement is not true. The docs stated that there are hardcoded limits for API requests.

https://docs.joinmastodon.org/api/rate-limits/#limits

Per account you can call the API 300 times within 5 minutes. That are 86400 API calls per day. I've already reached that 5-minutes-limit multiple times.
