Realized the last couple summers that I never sleep as well or as soundly as I do when I put on the air conditioning so the fun joke here is I CAN get a good night's sleep but I literally have to pay money every fucking time I do.

Okay, earthy weirdo who sounds like my mom who grew up without air conditioning so she didn't see how anybody else needed it even on 95-degree fucking Iowa summer days because nobody needs anything ever invented going back to the dawn of time and who also liked camping.

My friend Mike told me what "glamping" was the other week and described it as basically camping for bourgeois white people who don't like camping and, man, leave it to bourgeois white people to not see the OTHER option just sitting right fucking there.

I used to camp a lot and have friends who still LOVE camping so I get that there's an EXPERIENCE to it that takes you out of your often frenetic, other-people-controlled workaday routine and also it can optimize getting high and doing shrooms so please enjoy yourself.

Plus, my sister lives up north in a wooded glade - which it may not technically be but I like saying that - and one time when I was dogsitting I walked the quarter mile down to the road to get the mail and came back and had a tick on me so I can see how having no house to go back into and just bedding down where an army of disease-infested parasites have free reign to just run a fucking train on you for days at a time can be fun for some people for some reason.

You can live without AC, if you have shade, fans, curtains, and still, there are those days. I can take a dry 90 degree day, but not a super humid obe.

The only thing I like about our drought is the low humidity (OK, and the relative lack of mosquitos). I would prefer -30 vs. 90+ with a 70 degree dewpoint.

@GrimmReality Any chance to get some solar panels installed on the roof or so? They greatly reduce the costs for AC, especially on hot days / during the summer.
