I am once again surprised at how well Fedi is holding up to yet more people moving from the Birdsite.

Turns out furries and trans girls really do know how to operate the internet competently.

@q our top-notch sysadmin team is monitoring the situation closely!

@maartje @q Shorks love CRTs, they tickle on the boopsnoot. And server racks are good place to be sneaky.

This is such a great picture.

@maartje @q Been a while since I've seen an Ikea Rack!
@maartje @q do they use Wireshark to track traffic?
@q well that old picture blew up…

@maartje @q in
I'm right when I see Lakk table instead of server rack?

How equipment is fixed? It made of carton))

@q @Aranjedeath "Turns out furries and trans girls really do know how to operate the internet competently." who do you think built it? ;)
@mk30
@q @Aranjedeath

Four out of five of the main developers of the #ActivityPub protocol were (or eventually came out) as queer. Which makes me wonder when will Evan Prodromou come out
AZK.Social

@q trying to think of ways to discreetly work the question into interviews, like “your resume is very good but do you, you know, nya ✨ (paw motion)”
@q Agreed, but don't forget old hippies like me who contribute their share, too.
@q it is also proof that billionaires don't know how to fucking run things correctly
@q have you fucking seen IT teams they're all furries
@q I think the federated nature of the Fedi is helping a lot. Instead of having people all jump on a single website, the charge is a bit more spread out.
Case in point, big servers like mastodon.social, which see a lot of new users, have encountered problems.
@q No, for me it is unbearably slow.
@assegaia larger intastces will suffer more growing pain, this is part of the reason I like small instances
@q well yeah the entire internet basically runs on trans girls and furries and trans girls who are furries.
@q The best two sysadmins I've ever met were one of each, so... yeah
@q I mean, we've been doing it for decades 😂
@q I mean, if furries were to just disappear, the entirety of the world's infrastructure would just fail eventually

@q

"Never doubt that a small group of furries and trans girls can operate the Internet competently; Indeed, It’s the only thing that ever has."

@q the internet wouldn’t exist without us tbh ;) Sure it’s a meme…but a meme often comes from truth ;)
@q
They are furries, after all.
I mean, if we would be gone, entire network ecosystems would probably collapse within milliseconds
