Welp, settled in with my wife for a solid afternoon of #diabloiv, and about an hour in, the game crashed and said it was corrupted and needed to be reinstalled.

Rebooted the PS5 to see if that fixed it. Turns out the entire PS5 is corrupted and needs to be reset to factory settings from a USB drive.

This is the actual Hell. 🙃

Aaaaand whenever I try to reset the PS5 from USB, it stops and says “can’t reset your console”. And PlayStation support is closed until tomorrow. 😭

Update on the PS5 bricking saga:

Console is FUBAR and has to be sent into Sony for service, which costs $250 and could take over a month.

So I guess I'm buying a new PS5 today. 😭

@wickedgood I went through something similar with my PS3 when I upgraded it’s HDD. I was like “Geezums, Windows Vista is more stable than this! 😠 WTF Sony?!”
