Remarkable (or not remarkable?) to see that even 9 months after Musk bought Twitter, no platform other than #Mastodon has any meaningful community and critical mass of energy behind it.
@austinkocher haven’t been there yet, but is Bluesky not a happening place?
@Joe_the_L Far as I can tell, no. I signed up very early to be put on the list but still haven't received an invite--even though I was told it would be coming shortly (months ago). And just today BlueSky said they've suspended sign-ups because they have all kind of bugs.

@austinkocher inertia is a real thing. What I lament is the investment that public service and government agencies made on the platform..... (weather system alerts, tsunami warnings, etc), because those tools and the communities that were built on common interests (everything from the trans community to botanists) have to be rebuilt. It's as if no one wanted to believe that Musk would ruin the platform, despite him showing his ass on multiple occaisions.

#twittermigration

@austinkocher Still, the number of users on TiK Tok, FB, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit.. I'm here and hopeful—
