derSammler@janbeta I don't know the actual comments, but maybe it was not against the Pride flag / rainbow itself but the combination of it on a Commodore shirt..? And I could fully understand that. To me it seems many people were abusing the Pride month to sell products and make money. That's not ok. It just shows that people don't understand what Pride is about. You don't support the Pride movement by slapping a rainbow flag onto your commercial product and sell it for even more profit, trying to tell people they do something good by buying. But that happened a lot in the last month.
@derSammler Yeah, I’m not fond of large businesses abusing the pride flag in that way too. The comments were very clear about me being "political" though. There was even one person (whom I blocked now) that said LGBTQIA+ was "a cult" and they hoped I wasn’t a part of it. Pretty much just plain old haters in this case.

Michael Gemar@karpour @janbeta In the case of Apple, even though they changed their logo, their HQ has a huge rainbow stage that they portray in many of their videos. And their CEO is gay. So I think homophobes can “legitimately” be mad at Apple.
(It’s weird to me that, although Apple is *very* public about many social justice issues, the whacked-out right doesn’t seem to organize boycotts or other pushback.)

8-Bit Boyz@janbeta Just the other night my wife & I were talking about when we were kids in the 70s/80s rainbow had such a different meaning/acceptance. These days rainbow or anything else for that matter that you wear, hang on a wall etc is just open to anyone's criticism (trying to be nice here). Gone are the days of "if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all".
