@stavvers Not more than 4800. Ask me how I know.
(There‘s a reason I have a separate Twitter jail account - it was for every time I ran into their rate limit of 100 per 30 minutes. Back when the rate limit applied to tweeting not reading tweets.)
@Wildheart_Baby @stavvers I hit 10 toot-views just by clicking on this post and seeing the responses.
This morning I tried to search Twitter for updates on the NHL Trade Deadline (a popular topic today) and hit 600 tweet views in SECONDS just by loading the search results.
Yep killing the facto the app. And it’s ridiculous even 6000 read tweet isn’t that much.
@stavvers I know, right?! I've joked about sending him a Mastodon cake to thank him for his efforts, but no, I'm now serious about this idea.
I've also previously joked that if this is what he does to Twitter, he'll earn a Nobel and eternal gratitude if Facebook is next on his hit list.
But he's not that rich.
He only plays rich on TV.
@stavvers The funny thing is... in ~2012, you could hit a rate limit as an average power user of Twitter, just by reading and interacting. Back then, I would've paid for increasing the rate limit.
Not anymore.
Back then, Twitter was healthy (in my eyes), but somehow didn't want the money from the people who would've paid for it.
@stavvers what's really funny is this:
oringal post is unknown, but looks like it's from masto
