The Supreme Court’s ruling against #AffirmativeAction perfectly captures how conservatives are weaponizing a version of “colorblindness” that deliberately obscures the distinction between considering race in order to *uphold* a racially discriminatory system vs. doing it to *dismantle* that system.
The dismantling of #AffirmativeAction has to be seen in the context of the Right’s attempts to uphold traditional hierarchies of race, wealth/class, gender, and religion – with the Supreme Court acting as an integral part and spearhead of this reactionary counter-mobilization.

I just wrote about the Supreme Court’s role in the reactionary crusade against the drive towards egalitarian, multiracial, pluralistic democracy – and the Right’s comprehensive strategy to impose the will of a shrinking minority on the country:

One Year on From Dobbs: The Dangers of Radicalizing Minority Rule

Reactionaries are pursuing a deeply unpopular political project. They might still succeed – because they are committing to ever more authoritarian forms of minoritarianism.

@tzimmer_history

@HomerHarlequin @tzimmer_history They'd probably accept it within less of the blink of an eye, if they were told that CRT meant "Confederate Rulership Theory".😉
