Please accept this important picture of a purple coneflower into your timeline, thank you
@scalzi thank you!! I love purple coneflowers. This was a pleasant start to my day :D
@scalzi and also unto you, this Spiranthes (probably eatonii) growing in my neighbors’ lawn. I can’t get them to stop mowing before seeds mature.
@scalzi
Next time you're in Maryland, let someone talk you into going to EW Becks in Sykesville. Their parking lot is a riot of purple coneflowers, their food is good, and the view out the front windows is of the independent bookstore across the street.
@scalzi 11/10 - Would enjoy again.
@scalzi the rabbits have been a plague this year, they've eaten everything including coneflowers.

@scalzi First thought was. That's an echinacea flower (a medicinal plant). I checked & it's in the same plant family. Lovely.

@scalzi your submission is most welcome and shall be cherished
@scalzi excellent candidate for the #bloomscrolling crowd.
@scalzi While walking to the space museum with one of my wee ones, I ran into some flowers just like that and snapped a photo so I could look it up later. Instead, you've answered my question without my having asked! Thank you!
