About two years ago I pointed out that the ability of #thyroperoxidase to initiate the #Complement cascade via cleavage of C4 should lead to an increased frequency of #thyroid disease in cases where SARS-CoV-2 infiltrated the thyroid. A recent imaging study out of Thailand found abnormalities in 20% of convalescents.
