hmm, i miss Signalis and wondering what to play next in my (limited) spare time. before that, i enjoyed Disco Elysium and Control (all on PS4). and on (Pocket) Reform, Technobabylon, Kathy Rain, Gemini Rue
i also have unfinished Prey, Shadowrun Hong Kong and Nier Automata lying around... but those require a bit more energy/attention than i currently have
@mntmn This War of Mine?
@lxs @mntmn TWoM is a great game, but very bleak. Gotta be in the right headspace for it.
@gsuberland @mntmn Yep, might be quite stressful; especially if randomness hits you hard.
@mntmn Dredge was a different and engaging, if short, game that might fit in well!
@mntmn Have you played Cloudpunk? it's a nice small little indie game where you play a gig delivery driver in a crumbling cyberpunk megacity. You kinda get an anthology of fun cyberpunk short stories as you run packages for different people and wander the city
@mntmn Shadowrun Hongkong is on my play list too and the last chapter from dragonfall. šŸ˜…
@mntmn How about the System Shock remake? Extremely solid remake and DAT AESTHETIC.
@phryk hm, recently played the original for a bit

@mntmn That will carry over extremely well. The level design and mechanics are nearly 1:1.

But due to the clunky controls I couldn't bring myself to finish the original – not even with a source port with mouse support.

The remake fixes that for me. And cyberspace looks glorious now (and is probably the part they changed most – in a good way).

@phryk cool, i will def. take a look!
@mntmn Observation was short but very enjoyable. sorta Control-style mystery vibes, moving through the game like the camera/hacking stuff in Watch Dogs.
@gsuberland this looks pretty interesting!
@mntmn I certainly enjoyed it. I think I originally got it to play in VR but ended up preferring to play on a regular screen 'cos VR makes me hurl.
@mntmn Primordia... *cough*
@mntmn from the p&c adventures you mentioned, iā€˜d also suggest shardlight and the blackwell games
@tauli
I second those! And top it off with Unavowed, the standalone game set in the Blackwell universe -- highly recommended!
@mntmn
@mntmn have you played Inscryption? It was very good, in my opinion.
