Reddit announced API pricing changes is where it started, but the planned pricing isn't quite based in reality.

Once the debate started Reddit hasn't been on its best behavior when responding to 3rd party devs and the community.

Moved over the lemmy myself, quite enjoying it so far. I do have some worries of the technical kind, but they should be solvable.

Time will tell how this will go in the long run.
