@Trilobyter No, they are on the other side of the city, but my sister used to live in that neighbourhood. I don't remember the street name though, it's been a while. Someone I used to know bought one of those houses when they were extremely cheap: it was massive! It was completely empty then, and prices have skyrocketed after he, and friends, bought them. He had to leave there after his girlfriend got pregnant and could not do the steep Amsterdam stairs anymore. Wow, memories!
@pascaline I knew where I was generally when I took that photo but I had to go to Google maps to try to find the exact location, I like to retrace my photo steps like that. Anyway I see it’s on Singel at the flower market, or I guess what used to be the flower market. When I was there in 2019 it seemed all just touristy shops. Oh well.
@Trilobyter Well, it IS all touristy shops! At street level of course, and I think there are some that even occupy more floors.
But that's one part of it, my sister lived nearby but not on Singel. The guy I knew who bought a floor in one of the big 'pakhuizen' bought one farther away. Living on the flower market would be too noisy for me 😊 And far too polluted.
