But Ashara’s daughter had been stillborn, and his fair lady had thrown herself from a tower soon after, mad with grief for the child she had lost, and perhaps for the man who had dishonored her at Harrenhal as well. She died never knowing that Ser Barristan had loved her.

@BalerionTheCat If she's alive, then I'm looking at Allyria Dayne to be the girl in question. Too much cloak and dagger with the Daynes.
@Something_Rose @BalerionTheCat I trust nothing in regards to the Dayne story. It's all unreliable.
@BalerionTheCat I lean yes but I'm 50/50
@mallador do you have any theories on what happened at the ToJ?
@BalerionTheCat I really like Septa Shaena's theory on Qohrin Halfhand being Gerold Hightower, and that has some cool implications for who other Nights Watchmen at the Shadow Tower might be, especially given Ned's idea of mercy. -
@BalerionTheCat The "(Dayne) would have killed me had it not been for Howland Reed" line is very open-ended. I think he likely netted Dayne and it led to a conversation. The KG had to have known Ned would not do harm to Lyanna, and possibly after conversations, vows and promises a deal was reached. -

@BalerionTheCat Hightower would've been shot through his sword hand just 2 years before Robert's rebellion, likely not enough time to become proficient with his sword. He could've been incapacitated or disarmed. If Dayne was netted it would've left only Whent, who may have died fighting the other members of Ned's party.

Mance being Arthur Dayne is another possible outcome of this based on how strong he is when fighting Jon

@BalerionTheCat I'm curious to hear your thoughts on ToJ
