So, r/fountainpens is now open. What will happen in the foreseeable future? #fountaipen #fountainpens

@Suspect_Similar we plan to keep going on here regardless, but I’m not going to quit the subreddit necessarily, I just am a bit burnt out by it currently.

Also, I don’t trust Reddit Inc, and I dislike the experience of using their app and their website. It’s not a dealbreaker but it makes it much less attractive without Apollo or another well-designed app.

@paradoxmo this mirrors a lot of my own feelings. and the 'feel' of r/fountainpens feels a bit off atm... I mean, it will probably change back, eventually or morph into whatever, but I'm also ready for something fresh. and I like the interaction over here!
@superplannergirl the API pricing debacle has certainly exposed a lot of strong opinions in the community, but even before then I felt like r/FPs was getting somewhat stale. Hopefully with new mods they might change things up? No clue. But I’m excited to build a community over here, which is something I haven’t felt about the sub in a while.
@superplannergirl @paradoxmo this sums up my thoughts nicely as well. I’m keeping a foot in both worlds for now but the subreddit feel is different for sure and I want to see where things go here
