Importing 171 fonts into #Windows10 just crashed the whole OS. Hanging and unresponsive...What is this? #WindowsVista or #WinMe all over? 🤬 🤪
@77slevin there's always Linux too

@jahway603 Oh I know, been dabbling with Linux since Red Hat Linux 6.4. Went full time Linux Mint user after a 10 year MacOS period., from Linux Mint 17.3 on.

The problem is I use #Fusion360 for preparing #3Dprinting models. The application is partly web based and flat out refuses to run on any kind of Wine/Proton/Bottles emulation on Linux, so I still need a Windows partition.

And I know Linux has many CAD solutions, but they feel rudimentary compared to Fusion.

@77slevin I’m struggling with this now as well. Does Fusion run ok using a full VM? I haven’t tried yet.
I tried FreeCAD and I just can’t. Shapr3D on iPad is cool but I’m not paying that recurring rate. I’m low on options.
@mroach I tried it that way with VirtualBox but it was doooogggslow. Might have been my rig but the extra step of virtualization did not do the process any service. In the end we have to praise and condemn Autodesk. Praise them for creating a damn good app and condemn them for not supporting Linux. 😥
@77slevin If they made it compatible with Linux they’d probably do it by porting the whole app to Electron and thus ruining it. Such a shame though. :/
