Listening to @shoptalkshow … websites in Safari in visionOS absolutely cannot tell what someone is looking at. Nope.

“Safari on Vision Pro will take such experiences to the next level, with a full stereoscopic view and environmental lighting — all in a privacy-preserving way. What or where the user is looking is never exposed to the web page.“

News from WWDC23: WebKit Features in Safari 17 beta

It’s been a fantastic year for WebKit.

WebKit

@shoptalkshow @chriscoyier @davatron5000 Also — people should not always swap out `vh` for `dvh`. Not when sizing their fonts! If they do, type size will change as the user scrolls.

A lot of typesetting on the web today uses `vh`. Which is why we couldn’t do what you described — remap `vh` to behave like `dvh`. That would have broken a lot of existing websites.

@jensimmons @shoptalkshow @chriscoyier @davatron5000 vh sized text is still not resizable, right? We see this so often and it is a real issue for users. 😔
