The training course, Reaping The Benefits, Using REAPER with JAWS for Windows, has been updated.
1. The original training course was produced in 2021. The vast majority of topics and exercises were still current in 2023. However, some sections have been updated to include keystroke changes and additional points of clarification. Both the audio files and text transcripts have been updated.
2. A DAISY audio book of all the lessons is now provided.
3. Anyone who has retained their login information, sent at the time of purchase, will be able to download the new material at no additional cost. The original Email sent at the time of purchase invites a purchaser to retain the login information for future reference.
4. Should any purchases be made of this training course, we invite anyone to consult the heading on the below page entitled "Special Notes". This leaves the reader in absolutely no doubt as to what is (and is not) provided within a training course archive. Such information has always been documented on our Training course web page but it has been made even clearer. https://www.hartgen.org/reaper
@hartgenconsult My brothers would like this. They use reaper a lot so it would be useful for them to learn the fundamentals and then the more advanced stuff.
@hartgenconsult I don't have my email anymore. Ha! Seriously, I do, and I'm looking forward to grabbing the DAISY book! It sounds like you were able to find accessible software to make it work.
@technolass Hi Caroline! Well done for keeping your original message! Yes, the program OBI does a great job with this.
@hartgenconsult Thank you for revisiting the course and offering the update with no additional cost! Highly appreciate it!
@hartgenconsult Will any of this apply to NVDA at all, are you using OSARA for most of the commands along with the jaws scripts?
@jpellis2008 A good part of it may apply as many of the OSARA commands are used. But the JAWS output is highly customised and there are a number of very good features as part of the JAWS scripts, so full advantage is taken of those. They're very good.
@hartgenconsult Good to know, thanks. I'm always interested in any music recording program tutorials no matter what screen reader is used so I will probably pick it up soon.
@hartgenconsult Does this course include details on automation? Thanks.
@hartgenconsult I just checked my emails and still had the password, so glad I kept them all.
