Oh, for God's sake, can we please keep in mind all the Constitutional subversion Pence silently acquiesced to when at Trump's side?

Mike Pence poses 2024’s elemental question: The Constitution or Trump?

The former vice president spoke with the credibility of someone who was vilified by Trump on Jan. 6, but even he rushed to condemn the Justice Department.

The Washington Post

@jeffjarvis Absolutely.

In fact, I think people (perhaps present company excluded) vastly underestimate the dangerousness of #Pence.

This is a man, in my view, who was really the prototype for modern, **applied** #Christofascism.

He is single-minded and any Constitution will be never in the picture with him.

@adamjcook @jeffjarvis

Also, haven't we learned from history about men who call their wives "Mommy"?

@adamjcook @jeffjarvis Pence also has the charisma of a dead fish and the moral backbone of jellyfish. He has shown himself to be unelectable nationally.
The big fear is that the "Steinholes" and "BernieBrats" types gonna throw temper tantrums again and either not vote or vote for someone who can't win. Love Dr. West as an academic, but that play in 2016 threw SCOTUS to the fascists for a generation.
@jeffjarvis
Plus his weird, patriarchal, misogynistic, eschatological, puritan, repressed brand of “Christianity”.
@jeffjarvis He was in lockstep with Trump on everything until literally the absolute last minute of his presidency. And the one time he stood up and said no, he kept his head down and quietly did the bare minimum of his job (despite the mob Trump sent to kill him). To this day he is afraid to criticize Trump even as he challenges Trump for the nomination.
@jeffjarvis He drew the line only when it was an act that could be tied unambiguously and specifically to him
@jeffjarvis Let's not forget that Pence had to borrow a spine from Dan Quayle in order to stand up to Trump on January 6th. At the risk of quoting Bib Fortuna, he's no jedi.
