This hut was created for a friendly contest with the condition that the model was made from recycled materials.

The base is an old CD,
The texturing is dried paint,
The roof is scrap card,
The cloth above the doorway is old climbing tape,
And everything else is made from plastic sprue...

This is my sprue hut.

More angles of my Sprue hut.

These show the broken corner of the hut.

Some views of the roof of the Sprue hut.

While the frame is indeed Sprue, the sheet metal of the roof is made from card and the rivets are epoxy putty (before I switched to plastic rod).

And a bonus picture showing the "first" cut for the project and the finished piece.

Some moody shots of the Sprue hut.

Yes, even the table and bottles are carved from sprue.

In the broken corner of the Sprue Hut is a collection of plants growing around the remains.

And yes, they are all made from sprue. Using a tutorial I found on the internet.

To contrast with the bare interior of the Sprue Hut, I added some flowers around the outside for colour.

Again, made from sprue. This time the flared sprue carving was glued atop a rod.

@DrH that's fantastic. I need to rethink what I do with old dprues
@PJPaints thanks. There are so many uses for sprue. I have a tutorial on my kofi page (can't link from here, you should find it on my profile). No obligation, free to view. If you want to see every step of the hut.
@DrH
Wow! It's fantastic! 👏 👏 👏
