Unplanned LibrarianWhat do you do with outdated #VRHeadsets? Can they be recycled?
#SupernaturalVR stops supporting my #Oculus1 in January. I'm the only one in my family who ever uses VR and I use it for #exercise.
Erin@deeann they should share a lot of commonality with phones. Phone recyclers miiiiight take them.
I also have an Oculus Rift and haven't bothered setting up the new type of account they wanted at the new year, so mine's been sitting idle. It's been a fun little gaming headset for various things though. Might be best to see if somebody else would want to reuse it as-is instead of recycling (or see if there's another exercise thing that will continue to support the headset)
@ChateauErin That's a good idea! I play "Moss" on it and there's a few other exercise apps but it was not a hit in our house.
@deeann yeah it seems really individual. i can wear mine for hours, and usually end up stopping because my face gets too sweaty. Mostly I played a ghost hunting game called "Phasmophobia" with it, which was also good fun hanging out with friends.
But I'm never surprised anymore when people don't like VR, particularly the older headsets.
